Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/OFPosition Projection

02/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Logan is a RHP/OF prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. In the OF, he works to get around the baseball and showed ability to play through the baseball. He takes good routes to the baseball as he fields from an athletic position with a clean exchange off his left foot. Made accurate throws through the cutoff man from a 3/4 arm slot with good momentum towards his target. On the mound, he has long levers and a projectible frame. He gets a good rear hip coil, with a clean leg lift, and strides square to target. He picks up his target early and showed ability to plane out. He throws a FB that sits 84-86mph with good carry through the zone, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with good arm speed, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen session. Had better mechanics and command from the stretch position. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and closed stance. He swings with intent, with ability to deliver the barrel, and has a fast bat through the hitting zone. He hit balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 90mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
