12/03/2023 - National Showcase - Sacramento, CA LT is a 2025 OF/SS prospect that recently showcased his skills at the National Showcase in Sacramento. In the OF, he does a nice job pre-pitch of getting in an athletic ready position and he shows off quick feet. He takes good routes to the baseball and he does a great job of working behind the baseball. He has firm hands when fielding and presents a nice glove lane. He has a quick exchange and he makes accurate throws to his targets. He recorded a solid raw velo of 80 MPH. At short, he moves well and has good footwork to the baseball. He gets in an athletic fielding position and presents firm hands out in front. He has a smooth backhand. He has a quick exchange and does a great job around the bag on double play balls. At the plate, he does a great job of getting a short stride from an open stance. He keeps his balance centered and has a firm frontside with his lower half. He throws the knob of his bat to the catcher and does a nice job of finishing with his hips. He makes line drive contact and can spray the ball to all fields. LT is an exciting prospect that we are looking forward to seeing continue to develop!

07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One LT continues to shine on the diamond. He ran his personal best 7.19 60 yd dash and hit 89 in his velo testing. He plays with energy and is engaged on every pitch. In the field, he shows a quick 1st step with agile routes. Fields out in front of his body and secures the baseball. Ball explodes out of his hand from a short and quick slot to produce accurate feeds. At the plate, he stays consistent with his swing. He has comfortable hands and is on-time with the pitch. Barrell is on-plane and is on the back of the baseball. Shows line drive production to the pull side. Had a monster week by reaching base safely 8 times on the weekend. (5 hits, 3 BB’s). Overall, LT continues to grow his game.

06/19/2023 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 LT continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Omaha event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.26 runner. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (89 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

03/05/2023 - National Showcase - Sacramento, CA LT is a 2025 OF/2B prospect with a scrappy frame at 5'8" 130 pounds. In both the IF and OF, he does a great job pre-pitch of getting his feet in a ready position. In the OF, he showed good range to his glove side and presented firm hands to make all the routine plays. He has a nice, long arm action and makes accurate throws to his cutoff/targets with a quick exchange. In the IF, he has agile range with quick feet. He gets in a nice, low fielding position and displays soft hands when fielding ground balls. He shows off a quick exchange and makes accurate throws to his targets from different arm slots. His backhand impresses as well and he does a great job of following his flips to second. At the plate, he features an open stance with a short, squared stride and load. He has smooth rhythm and has good balance over the center of his body. His hips and hands work direct to the ball and he has fast bat speed. Does a great job of throwing the knob to the baseball and flashed some pop to the pull side with a line drive approach. Works hard to have consistent timing. Overall an impressive, scrappy hitter.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
