01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Lucas posted new highs in all tool grades and lowered his 60 time to 7.53 seconds during his time at the Pre-Season AA. He is a talented young player with a high ceiling. At SS, Lucas has good pre-pitch actions, active feet, and he takes good angles to field. He fields low, makes plays consistently, and throws with accuracy and momentum across the diamond. Offensively, Lucas stands in athletically and swings in good rhythm. He has a direct swing path, he can spray to all fields, and he taps into some lower 1/2.

09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Lucas continues to show shine at the All Region baseball tournament. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally displaying range in the MIF. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 2 for 6.

His general agility and quick movement right and left allowed him to make plays with ease and finish them with some strength to his throws. Offensively, he had a compact barrel delivery and simple approach with line-drive contact. He collected a pair of singles in his ab's and pressured the defense by putting balls in play. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
