08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Lucas is an athletic 2B prospect who continues to improve his game. He picks it at second with good hands and smooth actions to make all the plays. Feet work efficiently to cover ground and shows extended range. Hands are presented in a low fielding position and exchange is quick to make accurate feeds and throws. Timing is smooth in the box with rhythm to load and launch. His swing is level though the zone and he stays balanced to make contact to all fields. Use of his lower half will unlock more bat speed and pop. Lucas is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
