10/28/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Peachtree City (Atlanta), GA Lucas is an athletic 2nd baseman with a thin frame. Defensively, Lucas has a solid set-up, presentable hands, and he works through the ball well. He makes plays consistently, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency and momentum across the diamond. Offensively, Lucas has a square set-up, good balance, and a short/square stride. He has a level/direct swing path, he can hit to all fields, and he hustles down the line. Lucas can continue to improve with work on the following.

1. Lower body
2. Rhythm
3. Barrel accuracy

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Lucas is an athletic 2B prospect who continues to improve his game. He picks it at second with good hands and smooth actions to make all the plays. Feet work efficiently to cover ground and shows extended range. Hands are presented in a low fielding position and exchange is quick to make accurate feeds and throws. Timing is smooth in the box with rhythm to load and launch. His swing is level though the zone and he stays balanced to make contact to all fields. Use of his lower half will unlock more bat speed and pop. Lucas is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
