11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory's Fall Classic Tournament at Pirate City Lukas continues to show a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.25 runner. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range is a pus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 60-63 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

08/25/2019 - College PREP - Pensacola, FL Lukas is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Lukas makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Lukas improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and gets into his load well. He drives his lower half through and makes solid contact. Working a smoother rhythm into his load can help Lukas improve as a hitter. On the mound, Lukas shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71mph. Breaking ball sits at 60mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits at 62mph with tailing action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Lukas can improve as a pitcher by gathering to a balance point over the rubber. With four more years to develop, Lukas has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
