02/17/2024 - National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Lukas is a lean C/3B who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering ball well out front. Pop times showed in the 2.30 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he works around ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness (7.15 60 time) in covering a lot ground. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting abilities through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball and utilizes the middle of the field well through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 3 years to further develop, Lukas has potential with time and room to progress his game.

02/18/2023 - National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Lukas is a RHP/OF prospect who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with some strength to the build and room to develop. In the OF, he shows efficient footwork and ability to cover ground in all directions. Good 1st step reads enable him to work behind/through the ball with a high 1-hand catch. Fields from a square fielding position with clean gather off his left foot. He made consistent throws into infield from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 71mph. A right-handed pitcher, he works with good tempo and is coachable. He gets a good rear hip coil and rotates to his target. Throws a FB that sat 65-67mph with plus command, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup. FB was best pitch during bullpen session. A right-handed hitter begins with an upright and closed stance. Is centered at contact with ability to deliver the barrel. Hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 75mph during his round of BP. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Lukas having a bright future at the high school level and beyond.

12/27/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Rindge, NH Lukas is a C/SS prospect who will graduate in 2027. Behind the dish, Lukas shows efficient footwork and covers up well when blocking. He sits in a low stance and receives with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he works to keep his throws accurate to the 2B bag. At SS, Lukas shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance with center balance. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing and sprays line drives to all fields. Overall, Lukas is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
