Official Scouting Report

10/14/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures South Luke makes quite an impression the minute he steps on the field with his 6'5"/220-pound frame. That is just the beginning of the positives though, as he matches tools with the ability to use them in games. Luke ran a 6.95 60 and recorded a 93 mph exit velocity that showed in batting practice as he drove balls to, and out of, all parts of the park. He carried over his barrel accuracy to the game where he went 3-3. Luke also moved well around the bag at 1B and showed sure hands while, obviously, providing a great target for his infielders. Overall, he has the look of a middle-of-the-order run producer at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
