07/11/2015 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition - Session 1
Greisler is a 6'3"/175 lbs prospect that showed sound ability and projection at the Cape Cod Select Training and Competition with Baseball Factory. Offensively, he was tall in his stance and launched on-time, getting his hands activated to hit. He was direct with the barrel to contact and generated natural leverage with his frame. He began to implement more of a load with his lower half and felt what it was like to drive, and boost bat speed. At 1B, he had good body control to make plays with a soft glove and promoted his hands in front, by bending further at his knees. He threw with accuracy from multiple arm slots and presents a large target for his infielders. On the hill, he threw his FB with tail, and CB with tilt. He was consistently around the zone and had a loose arm swing that he can add strength and arm speed too through a throwing program. He is mechanically sound and has good presence on the bump. All in all - Luke has a good frame that suggests muscular growth and strength to make his game more powerful.

Luke is a long, tall RHP/1B that will graduate in 2018. Foot speed is slightly above average as indicated by his 7.41 60 time. At 1B, he shows proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are active as he moves well laterally, displaying range. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he comes gets balls more and softens hands. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup with balance. Hands are loose and aggressive working through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to keep hands / barrel through the ball more at contact, creating extension. Power numbers will continue to improve as he loads more and works to use his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 68-72 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a plus feel for with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to throw more strikes. With 2 years to further develop, Luke has abilities with time and room to improve.
