02/13/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Luke is a 3B/RHP prospect in the 2024 class. Has a great frame 6'3 / 190 that will continue to develop with strength and agility training. At the plate, hits with great intent. Demonstrates hard line drive contact to the middle of the field. Is on time and balanced from start to finish. Stays tall in his approach and has a quick (89 exit velo) barrel path with solid extension. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix. His FB topped at 74 with more room in the tank. His CB sat 63-65 with 11/5 shape and commanded it well. He worked at the knees with his CH and sat 68-70. Using his legs and loading his backside will create more explosion and velo. In the field, has a great arm (88 velo) that is accurate. Releases with an over-the-top slot and uses his momentum on his throws. Working to stay lower to the ground will give him the athletic base he needs for his fielding position. Overall, Luke has size and excellent starting points. With three years of productive repetitions and weight room training for his core and lower half, he will become a major force on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
