01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Luke continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. On the mound, delivery is repeatable allowing his arm action to work well to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 82-88 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are soft / sure and presents well out front. Feet / hands work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry on his throws. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, continues to shine through a tall setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) generating bat speed through an aggressive swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he has strength in his swing with gap to gap pop.

10/17/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - NC (HS) Luke is an athletic RHP/3B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Luke works with a quick arm and accelerates through his release, staying inline toward the plate. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 82mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 64-66mph with sharp 12-6 break. Changeup sits from 66-70mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Luke is agile covering ground and fields in a square position. His exchange is smooth and he makes accurate throws with carry across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. He controlled getting into a simple load and takes a smooth swing, producing consistent line drives and great gap to gap pop. Overall, Luke is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

06/17/2020 - All-In Membership - Myrtle Beach, SC Luke is a strong RHP/3B prospect who will graduate in 2023. On the mound, Luke gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Luke shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 84mph. Breaking ball sits from 63-64mph with sharp 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 65-66mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Luke shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He fields in a square position and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and maintains center balance. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
