01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Luke is a 2025 OF prospect out of Richmond, MI who showcased his skills during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Luke shows efficient footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance with center balance. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing and produces strong line drives. Overall, Luke is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

02/27/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Luke is a 2025 OF. Medium frame athletic build with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Primary OF who attacks the ball and fields low and square. Clean transfer with long arm action with a tight release and good carry with throws recorded up to 71 mph into the diamond. Does a good job of creating momentum on his throws. Right-handed hitter with an upright stance and shows a direct path to contact. Good rhythm to swing and shows ability to control the barrel. Clears hips well and gets on plane. Shows quickness to his hands with the ability to impact the baseball when squared up. Luke is a young player, and with continued growth and development, we believe can have a good career at the next level.

09/20/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Detroit, MI Luke continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays with momentum to his target. At 3B, feet are active but he needs attack ball and play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

09/22/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Luke worked out in the OF and at 3B during his last workout with The Factory. He increased radar velocity to 65 MPH during the workout. In the OF, Luke has a presentable glove, he tracks well, and his feet are active. He fields athletically, takes good angles, and throws with momentum and accuracy from a loose arm to his cut off man. At 3rd base, Luke has fluid feet, he fields low and athletically, and he works through the ball. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy across the diamond. Offensively, Luke has a tall/square stance, a short stride, and good balance. He has good bat speed, and he works the middle of the field.

07/06/2018 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (Ages 12-14) Luke showed positive improvements in his game during his time in the Cape and proved to be very coachable and a hard worker. He is a young player with a good work ethic. In the OF, Luke fields aggressively, his feet play well, and he tracks the ball off the bat properly. He presents his glove well, fields athletically, and throws with consistency to his target. At the plate, Luke has an athletic setup, he loads well, and swings in good rhythm. He swings on plane, he can spray to all fields, and he gets his lower body through. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Luke.

02/19/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Luke is a young 2025 outfielder. Defensively, Luke has efficient footwork, an aggressive approach, and he takes good angles to the ball. He presents his glove well, has a clean exchange, and throws with consistency from a long arm action to his target. Offensively, Luke has a square set-up, a proper stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a middle approach, some feel for the barrel, and he makes consistent contact. Luke can improve skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
