07/06/2018 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (Ages 12-14) Luke showed positive improvements in his game during his time in the Cape and proved to be very coachable and a hard worker. He is a young player with a good work ethic. In the OF, Luke fields aggressively, his feet play well, and he tracks the ball off the bat properly. He presents his glove well, fields athletically, and throws with consistency to his target. At the plate, Luke has an athletic setup, he loads well, and swings in good rhythm. He swings on plane, he can spray to all fields, and he gets his lower body through. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Luke.

02/19/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Luke is a young 2025 outfielder. Defensively, Luke has efficient footwork, an aggressive approach, and he takes good angles to the ball. He presents his glove well, has a clean exchange, and throws with consistency from a long arm action to his target. Offensively, Luke has a square set-up, a proper stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a middle approach, some feel for the barrel, and he makes consistent contact. Luke can improve skills with work on the following.

1. Long toss

3. Quicken feet

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
