11/24/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - Shreveport, LA Luke is an athletic SS/OF prospect who will graduate in 2023. At SS, Luke shows active footwork and is agile covering ground. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws on-line to his target. Keeping his hands low to the ball can help Luke improve as a SS. In the OF, Luke shows active footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He makes the routine plays and flashes a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws consistently on-line to his target. Luke can improve as an OF by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and gets into his load well. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Taking a square stride towards the pitcher can help Luke improve as a hitter. Overall, Luke is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
