02/16/2014 - College PREP - Brentwood (Long Island), NY Luke is a 2015 OF/LHP that also hits from the left side. Defensively, he has good actions and plays the ball off the ground well. He is sure handed and throws with some carry to his target. At the plate, he has good hands, generating good bat speed while maintaining barrel accuracy. He has quick actions and is direct and level with the barrel. On the bump, the southpaw throws three pitches - topping out at 73 MPH and mixing speeds with a CB and CH. He has smooth/long arm action and uses his lower. A throwing program will enable increased velo and will add to his overall pitch stock. In all - a 7.29 runner and solid defender, Luke projects best as an OF - currently - with an ability to hit from the left side.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
