12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Lyle is a 2B prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. In the field, Lyle takes a quick first step and fields in a square position. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Presenting his glove out in front to the ball can help Lyle field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with loose hands. He works through a level swing and sprays the ball to all fields. Lyle can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. Overall, Lyle is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/06/2022 - All-In Membership - Parker (Denver), CO Lyle is an athletic 2B who will graduate in 2023. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness (7.15 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Lyle has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
