09/24/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Tacoma (Seattle), WA Maddox is an athletic, SS/RHP who will graduate in 2023. Defensively at SS, he takes a prep step with quick footwork. He stays low and tries to work around the GB and makes on-line throws to his target. On the hill, this righty gathers over the rubber and keeps his eyes locked in. He delivers from a 3/4 arm slot with clean arm action and stays directional towards home plate. With the bat, Maddox gets back into a load with a quiet head. He fires his hands quickly through the zone and drives the outside pitch the opposite way. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
