07/14/2018 - Baseball Factory D.C. All Star Experience (Ages 12-14) Mahi is a coachable 2B/OF who worked hard on his skills during his time at the D.C. All Star Experience. In the field, Mahi shows active footwork and is very agile moving to the ball. He makes the routine play and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them on-line to his target. Mahi can improve defensively by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He takes a direct swing with decent bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. Mahi can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With four more years to develop, Mahi has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
