10/06/2021 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Mana showed very well at the AZ Fall Classic. Defensively, he showed the ability to work through the baseball with his glove out front creating momentum towards first to create carry on his throws. Offensively, Mana hits from both sides of the plate. He displayed more power from the right side of the plate and more contact from the left side but both sides show good hitting mechanics. Pitching, Mana really shined throwing a ton of strikes at the event. He had his highest FB to date at 82 mph and we think if he utilizes his legs properly off the rubber that number will jump. Overall, he is a true ball player and is always learning to improve his game.

10/14/2020 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Mana continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. He consistently has great Abs and shows a good feel for the strike zone. At the event he was 2 for 8 with a 2B and 4 BB. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Fastball showed a range of 78-81 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late / sharp break and shows potential as being an outstanding out pitch. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. He shows good mound presence and competes on the bump. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Mana is a talented 2-way player who continues to shine. On the mound, this righty attacks hitters and throws strikes consistently. Arm works quickly with good arm-side run on his FB - 76-77 mph. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape with good depth and shows to be a solid out pitch. He pounds the zone and gives he defense a chance. At the plate, this switch hitter shows more naturally from the right side. He has a god eye for the zone, as he drew 3 walks and collected a 2B as well. He has smooth rhythm to load and swings on a direct path, connecting with some pop. At 3B, he hustles into a square fielding position and tracks GB's into a soft mitt. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
