07/20/2014 - California Select Training & Competition Marcus is a thing, athletic, two way player who plays SS and RHP. In the INF, hands are sure and ready, Marcus works low to high, and he moves with good body control to the ball. Marcus has good pre pitch movements and a short arm action throwing to his target. If Marcus can smooth out his footwork, play more through, and strengthen his arm, INF skills will get better. On the hill Marcus has a free arm action, he works ahead of hitters, and he lands in a square position. He has good glove side pull, and his ball sinks when he stays on top. More use of the lower body, a better finish, and added arm strength will improve mound effectiveness. Offensively, Marcus is a contact hitter with good balance and a square setup. He has a good eye at the plate, and makes consistent contact. He will need to keep a more still head, work on his timing, and use more lower body for hitting numbers to get better.
