10/02/2011 - College PREP - North Little Rock, AR Marcus is an athletic OF who is a solid all-around player. He has quick feet running his 60 in as low as 7.25 seconds. Defensively, he does well getting behind the ball and plays through to his target. He has good range and can track down balls in the gap. At the plate, Marcus gets a solid load, takes a long stride, and gets his lower 1/2 through. He has average bat speed, an on-plane swing, and sprays the ball to the gaps. Wilson is a solid player and will continue to improve with hard work.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
