06/05/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida Mario is a strong, athletic OF who has a tremendous future on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way (6.56 60 time). He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Throws are accurate with on line zip (96 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power driving (93 mph exit velocity) to all parts of the field. Mario has the makings of a special type player with the makings of a solid draft pick in 2020.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Already possessing a Major League frame, Mario stood out as soon as you saw him in uniform at the Under Armour Pre-Season Tournament, and he continued to stand out throughout the workouts and games. After running a 6.70 in the 60 and showing 92 mph arm strength and a 93 mph exit velocity, Mario proceeded to get on base in 7 of his 8 plate appearances including an inside-the-park home run that he smoked over the left fielder's head. Among everything he did over the course of the event, his hard turn at first on an opposite field single may have drawn the most accolades from the scouts.

06/05/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Mario is an athletic OF who is a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed is superior as indicated by his 60 time of 6.62. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips (92 mph velocity) throws on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (96 mph exit velocity) as he connects with power driving to all parts of the field. With 2 years to further develop, Mario has a big upside and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
