08/06/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Goldstein continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He showed as a 3B/RHP at the event. His foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.9 runner but will benefit by continuing to improve foot quickness. Defensive grades have improved now showing solid average abilities. His feet are active / aggressive as he works to square balls up, displaying clean hands as he makes all the plays. For defensive grades to continue to improve, he needs to attack ground balls more, play through, and present his hands more out front. His throws are accurate, flashing carry across the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power grades have improved as well through an athletic setup. His hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus with the baseball jumping off his bat when centered. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 74-78 mph with slight arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, displaying slight fade. Mental makeup is a plus as he works hard and has a positive attitude.
