06/09/2019 - College PREP - Hoover (Birmingham), AL
Marko is a tall 1B/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 1B, Marko shows efficient footwork and fields in a square position. He throws from over top and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Marko improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He takes a level swing and produces consistent line drives. Marko can improve as a hitter by working a smother load into his swing. On the mound, Marko shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 62mph. Breaking ball sits from 60-63mph. Changeup sits from 59-60mph. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Marko improve as a pitcher. Overall, Marko is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.
07/15/2018 - Baseball Factory D.C. All Star Experience (Ages 14-18)
Marko is an athletic and talented 2-way player that made several adjustments over the training weekend. At 1B, Marko needs to continue to work on bag awareness and being a good position to field the ball. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Marko starts in an open stance and has an opposite field approach. Continuing to load his hands back into the drive position, getting his front foot down on time, and keeping a quiet head will allow him to see the ball deep into the contact zone. On the bump, Marko extends thru his release point, keeps his eyes on his target, and is a strike thrower. Continuing to separates on time and developing his secondary pitches will elevate his game to the next level. Marko will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City
Marko is a hardworking player who is very coachable and has a great attitude. He showed as a 1B and on the mound for the first time at the event. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Feet are aggressive as he works to square balls up but needs to play through with his body. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 55-58 mph. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound.
11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18)
Marko is a coachable player who asks questions and has a willingness to improve. At the plate, this LHH displays a crouched/open stance with patience waiting for a pitch he likes. He takes a hack at pitches in the zone, looking to drive the middle of the field (collecting 2 singles at the event). At 1B, Marko hustles to get into position behind the GB. He tracks the ball into his mitt and makes the plays. Working to to develop his footwork/agility will help to increase lateral range in the INF. Continued GB reps working to present his glove and field the ball more out in front will aid in his defensive development. Only a 2021 grad, Beasley will only continue to progress and get stronger.
