08/01/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (HS) Marshall continues to shine on the diamond. At 1B, defensive abilities are solid as he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a BB. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

05/23/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Marshall is a class of 2022 1B prospect. At the plate, he shows off a fast bat that stays on plane and works to get extension. He does a good job using his lower ½ throughout his swing. Shows power potential and exit velos up to 88 MPH. In the field, he shows good footwork to both his glove side and backhand side. Does a good job working beneath the baseball and fielding from the ground up. Shows good bag awareness on double plays. Marshall is a physical kid with a bright future that we hope to see again in the future as he continues his development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
