12/27/2015 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2
Marshall continues to show as a LHP/OF and has improved his baseball abilities, especially on the mound. He is a bulldog and competes very well on the mound as he shows good tempo and works fast. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 82 mph. Fastball showed good arm side run with a 2/8 breaking ball and keeps ball down in the zone. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and works to get behind. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. Range will improve as he increases his foot quickness. At the plate, he displays an athletic setup. Hands work inside the ball as he utilizes all fields through a line drive approach. Power grade will continue to increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively and adds overall body strength. Marshall has abilities with time and room to improve and will be a fun player to follow.

Marshall is an athletic LHP/OF that will graduate in 2017 with a promising future on the diamond. Currently, he projects best in the OF for the next level. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.14 60 time. Defensive grade are well above average, displaying smooth / fluid actions. He reads balls well off the bat and takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground, displaying range in the OF. Hands / feet work well together and he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared / athletic setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-77 mph, displaying good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to throw more strikes. With 2 years to further develop, Marshall has the makings of a special type player and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
