12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Mason continues to show the makings of a special type player and promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.17 runner. At 2B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is soft sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on line zip (83 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
