04/30/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Charlottesville, VA Mason is a tall/projectable (6'4"/185) RHP/1B. On the mound, this righty delivers a 3-pitch mix from a hi 3/4 arm slot. He keeps his eyes locked as he separates on time, filling up the zone with strikes. Defensively at 1B, he takes efficient routes as he gets into a square position on GB's. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. With the stick, Mason displays an athletic setup. He whips his barrel quickly to the ball as he drives pitches to all parts of the field. Mason is a talented player who has a ton of upside. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
