06/19/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Mason is a young two-way player that pitches and plays 3B. In the field Mason works hard to get in a good fielding position and presents his hands well. His exchanges are clean, and he creates momentum to his target making accurate throws around the diamond. At the plate Mason sets up in a square stance with low hands. His stride is short and balanced. He rotates his core and gets the barrel on plane making consistent contact to all fields. On the bump Mason shows a 3-pitch mix with a FB, CB, CH. Mason threw a high percentage of strikes with the FB, the CB was 10-4 action, and he threw the CH with FB arm speed. He sets up square and confident on the mound with an overhead arm action. Working on strength, agility, and arm strength can all help Mason improve his game, we look forward to seeing his progress.
