01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Matteo is a C/OF prospect who showed well during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Behind the dish, Matteo shows efficient footwork and centers the ball when blocking. He sits in a low stance and receives with soft hands. He gains ground well on his throws and keeps them accurate with carry through the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and works through a level swing. He creates great leverage in his swing and drives the ball to his pull side with authority. Overall, Matteo is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Matteo continues to shine on the diamond and did so again at the All-Region Tournament. With the bat, this righty steps into the box looking to swing it. He has fluid rhythm to load and whips the barrel with quick hands, spraying line drives from gap-to-gap. He battles at the plate and went an impressive 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk. Behind the plate, he sits in well with athletic actions and tracks pitches into a soft mitt. He moves well laterally and centers the ball off of his chest. Transfer is clean with pop times now at 2.40. Only a 2025 grad - Nolasco has a solid skill-set with a ton of upside on the diamond.

07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Matteo is a young C/3B that worked hard out at Pirate City. Behind the dish Matteo works hard to present a good target. Throws to 2B he replaces his feet well and makes clean exchanges. Working on being quick to 2B will help lower Matteo's pop time. At the plate Matteo starts square with his hands in a comfortable position with a simple load. He works hard to get the barrel on plane and shows the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Using front plate/back plate will improve Matteo's consistency at the plate. Matteo worked hard to learn more about his game and was able to make in game adjustments.

06/02/2019 - Interactive Video Program - River Forest (Chicago), IL Matteo is a thin, 2-way player with good skills. Behind the plate, Matteo tracks well, footwork is efficient, and he sits in low. He takes good angles to block, his chest is soft, and he throws with momentum to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.62 seconds. At 3B, Matteo has active feet, good pre-pitch actions, and he fields aggressively. He plays with good energy, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency across the diamond. At the plate, Matteo has a tall/square set-up, good balance, and he swings aggressively. He has a still head, a level/direct barrel, and he can hit to all fields. Overall skills can improve with work on the following.

1. Arm action
2. Accuracy

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
