01/18/2021 - All-In Membership - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Matthew is a corner infielder who can swing it. At the plate, he has near pro level hitting / power abilities. He has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack, crushing the ball to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 89 mph). At 3B, he has plus lateral range (7.15 60 time) for a big guy, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws (85 mph velocity) zipping across the diamond. A projectable 3B, Matthew has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
