08/05/2021 - All-In Membership - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Matthew is a RHP who will graduate in 2022. Medium frame thick build and room to add more strength. A right-handed pitcher who has simple/repeatable delivery and works with good tempo. Throws all 4 pitches from the same window and extends out front. Works off of a FB that sat 72-74mph, a 12/6 shaped breaking ball with good bite through the zone, a changeup he throws with FB arm speed, and a developing cutter. CB was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate, this right-handed hitter sets up with an even and athletic stance. Showed good plate discipline. Gets extended at times and ability to spray the ball to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 85mph during his round of BP. With another year of growth and development, we foresee Matthew having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
