03/11/2012 - College PREP - Hightstown, NJ Matt is a young, thin, 2-way player who pitches and plays 3B. On the mound, Matt has a long / loose arm action, a controlled balance point, and he keeps his eyes on his target. He works in good rhythm, keeps his shoulders level, and he is around the plate with his pitches. If Matt can keep his front side closed, and finish off his pitches more, mound effectiveness can improve. At 3B, Matt presents his glove well, he has playable feet, and he fields in a square position. He has a long arm action and throws with average strength to his target. Widening his base, softening his hands and playing in a lower position will help defensive grades rise. Offensively, Matt has an athletic set-up, a proper load, and good balance. He has average bat speed, he can spray to all fields, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Better timing and staying short to the ball can help offensive numbers rise.
