01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Matthew Yokota is a 5'8/180 lbs OF that showed very well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament with Baseball Factory. In the OF, he moved quickly to make plays with excellent body control and was soft with the glove. He used exemplary footwork to catch and throw and had a lot of carry with his accurate throws. Offensively, he worked the middle of the field with his approach and had an easy bat path with good core rotation. He collected 3 stolen bases during the tournament and hit 2 doubles. Overall - Matthew is a very polished defender that can play all three outfield positions with ease.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
