01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Max is a 2025 SS/RHP who showcased his talents in front of scouts at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At SS, he has effective footwork and does a good job centering his body. He gets into a square fielding position and has firm hands. Max has a short threw ¾ arm slot that fits his position well. He does a good job creating angles and picking out hops. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a square stance and a short stride. He gets his lower ½ through using the ground to create power. His swing path is direct and he made consistent hard contact. Max does damage to the low pitch and showcased a 90 mph top exit velocity. In game, he showed good discipline picking up 4 walks. On the mound, he showed a fastball that topped at 80 mph and a breaking ball that had tight spin. Max worked effectively out of the stretch and was quick to the plate. He had proper mechanics and stayed square towards his target. We foresee that Max will continue to impress scouts as he matures as a baseball player.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
