Official Scouting Report

  • 4Class Rating
  • 1BPosition Projection

Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic with Video Showcase (HS - East) Max is a 1B who will graduate in 2022. Large frame athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. At 1B, he starts with efficient feet and fields from the ground up. Creates good fielding angles and keeps eyes behind glove on backhand. Long arm action into a high 3/4 release point with accurate/on-line throws to second base at 76mph. Showed good footwork around bag. A left-handed hitter, starts with a tall and open stance. Athletic setup, with a square stride, enables him to drive balls to all fields. Showed good awareness of the strike zone and hit 2 doubles in live game action. He also had multiple RBIs and recorded a bat exit velocity of 84mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Max is a strong 1B prospect who showed well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a crouched stance and barrels up the ball well, producing great pull side pop. In the field, Max makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate with good backspin through his target. Overall, Max is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
