01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Max is a very athletic 2020 Outfielder out of California. Put up some impressive athletic numbers at the event, a 7.12s 60 Yd Dash with a 9'2" broad jump. Defensively, cannot say enough good things about Max. Plays behind the baseball after a quick and efficient 1st step, plays through the ball well with good glove technique and delivers strong throws to his targets. At the plate, again Max is very loose and athletic. Sets up nicely, creates a ton of rhythm and showed the ability to drive the baseball in to gaps with power (91mph Bat Exit Velocity). A complete OF player looks to be a nice asset at the next level.

10/17/2018 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Max continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond as he continues to improve his baseball tools. At the plate he has improved power potential, now showing tremendous pop through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through a short / direct swing path as he stays inside the ball utilizing all fields. He has strength in his swing, displaying gap to gap power with the ball exploding off the bat when centered. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through well with momentum to his target. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry on his throws. Range is a plus as he continues to improve his foot quickness (7.00 60 time) and reads balls well off the bat, covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line zip (86 mph velocity) through his target. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and is very coachable as he works hard to be the best player he can be.

10/06/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures West Max is an athletic OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the field, Max shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front. He gains momentum well on his throws and works to keep them accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and drives his lower half through well. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives into the gaps. Overall, Max is a talented prospect who should find success in this, his junior season.

09/02/2018 - National Tryout Plus - San Francisco, CA Max continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side.

08/05/2018 - College PREP - Lodi (Sacramento), CA Max is a talented outfield prospect who has a wiry, projectable build. As a right-handed hitter, Max has an athletic setup with a firm front side. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
