08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Maximillian continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 73 mph. Fastball shows a range of 68-73 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to develop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He utilizes his feet in taking proper routes / angles in working to get behind balls. He shows good game awareness and does a nice job of backing up bases. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

02/25/2018 - College PREP - West, TX Maximillian is a long, lean two-way player who currently is more advanced as an outfielder. He shows fluid actions in the field and is smooth working to the ball in any direction. He shows efficient footwork and good jumps to cover plenty of ground. His hands are firm to field and keep the ball in front and he shows a clean transfer to throw. At the dish, he uses a middle approach to stay on the ball and hit it to all fields. His arms extend through contact to drive the ball and he has more power in the tank. On the bump, this right hander features a tree-pitch mix including a sinking fastball, 11-5 curve and deceptive changeup. He works down in the zone on a downward plane and can induce weak contact. Working with more intent on the mound will add a tick to his pitches. Maximillian is an interesting, young prospect with tools all over the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
