07/08/2018 - College PREP - Rochester, NY Maxwell is an athletic and talented 2021 utility prospect. At 2B, Maxwell has an active prep step and is aggressive to the ball. He has range on both sides of the ball and makes accurate throws to first. In the OF, Maxwell is on time with his pre pitch movement and has a quick first step to the ball. He takes good routes the ball, makes a clean exchange, and creates momentum in his lower half to throw. At the plate, Maxwell starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and stays connected to the ball. He sprays the ball to all fields and stays balanced through contact. Maxwell will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

The Class Rating is designed to help players identify the level(s) of college baseball at which they have potential to be recruited, and to help schools and coaches identify players that have potential to be recruits for them.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
