07/29/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Meigs is a 6'3/175 lbs OF that showed similar ability levels on both sides of the baseball. In the OF, he worked with a sure glove and threw with a clean arm stroke with accuracy. He worked on top of the baseball - spinning a 4-seam - and worked to stay strong with his front side for carry. With the stick, he had good balance, and hit off a stiff front side for plus leverage. He was very receptive to coaching, and was always looking for ways to get better, working in the cage to enhance his timing and barrel accuracy. In all - Meigs has a great personality, was always bringing positive energy to the field, and with a fall and winter to improve, should have a great senior year.

05/31/2015 - National Tryout - Tallahassee, FL Lamb only showed at 1B at the event and displays a tall, solid frame well suited for his position. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared / balanced setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He is strong and has strength in his swing with baseball jumping off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap pop as he works to stay inside the ball to utilize all fields. Hitting grades will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. At 1B, feet are active as he moves well laterally, flashing range and displays proper footwork around the bag, displaying clean hands. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he attacks balls more while presenting hands more out front and improve foot quickness.

04/27/2014 - College PREP - Tallahassee, FL Lamb is a RHP who has a projectable frame (6'3"/175). On the mound, he has a 3-pitch mix coming from a 3/4 arm slot. FB tops out at 69 while showing some movement. He works to a controlled balance point and has smooth separation. Changeup is best pitch as he has FB arm speed with it showing sink as it gets to the plate. A long toss program will help to increase arm strength and improve abilities on the bump. At the plate, Lamb shows a well balanced approach with a solid base. Barrel delivery is quick through a short path as he drives the ball on a line. This 2016 grad still has time and room to improve and develop on the mound.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
