07/27/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Michael is an athletic 2016 graduate who plays OF. He runs a well above average 60 yard dash for a freshman, posting a 7.62. As an outfielder he has solid arm strength, quick/active feet and excellent range. He needs to work on securing the ball, get better reads off the bat, take better angles to the ball and long toss for arm strength/arm action/arm angle (his is too low). At the plate, Michael has a tall stance and loads his hands. He shows a level bat path with his swing. To improve his hitting, Michael needs to develop an overall smoother approach starting with his stride/load. He has to get to a strong launch, stay balanced and let the ball travel into the proper hitting zone. Michael showed some improvement on both sides of the ball at Pirate City and was impressive in the outfield. If he works hard on his fundamentals at the plate there is no reason he cannot find success in the future.
