07/31/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Mick showed well during his time in Pirate City. He is a coachable player who is willing to learn. At the plate, he displays good balance and a square/simple stance. He is aggressive and jumps on his pitch, swinging with quick hands. Once on base he moves well and has a solid feel, showing good speed. At 2B, he gains ground and plays through the ball smoothly. He attacks the ball and comes to get it (not allowing himself to get the in-between hop). Atchley also pitched at the event. He reaches a tall balance point and has good separation. He has a repeatable delivery and fills up the zone, throwing strikes. With his willingness to learn and already solid skill-set, Mick will have success in the game.
