02/29/2020 - Baseball Factory Mid-Atlantic Combined Skills Training - Columbia, MD (Ages 12-14)
Michael performed well at the Skills Training Weekend. He swung the bat well showing a simple, repeatable approach with rhythm. He is balanced, has a short strike and looks to do damage with an aggressive move to the ball. As he continues to mature and make use of the entire field he will take even more steps forward as he has a natural feel to hit. On the mound Michael showed a heavy, tailing fastball from an arm slot that is difficult on hitters. He has an interesting 3-pitch mix showing the ability to spin a breaking ball and beginning to develop a change. More confidence in the change and a higher volume of strikes will help to maximize his effectiveness as a pitcher. Once again, Michael showed that he has legitimate 2-way potential.

Michael is a solid, 2-way player who plays 1B and RHP. Defensively, Michael has playable hands and feet, and he keeps the ball in front of his body. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with momentum and accuracy to his target. On the mound, Michael is a strike thrower with good balance and a still head on target. He has solid direction toward home and has a good feel for his CH. At the plate, this RHH has a square stance, good balance, and he swings aggressively. He has a direct barrel, some bat speed, and he can work the ball gap to gap. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.
1. Quicken feet
2. Fielding position
3. Arm action
3. Lower body
