12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Chiusano showed as a 1B and catcher at his most recent outing with Baseball Factory. He has a promising future on the diamond, and has active feet to work in line through a clean transfer / exchange, behind the dish. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.14. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Receiving / blocking skills show potential as being quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to show improvements, and currently displays very solid hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through his athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed and he works through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and makes consistent contact as he shows a solid feel for barrel, displaying gap to gap power. At the event, he was 4 for 6 with a 2B and sac fly. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and loves to compete.
