03/13/2016 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Michael is a lean SS/RHP who will graduate in 2019 with a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive and he uses proper footwork, displaying clean glove. He plays hard with a lot of energy. Presenting his glove more out in front will help to avoid getting the ‘in between' hop. Continuing to increase foot quickness will aid in improving range. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are aggressive and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 76-81 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with arm sinking action. Off speed stuff show potential as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. With 3 years to further develop, Michael has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches, possibly as a two-way guy.
