04/25/2021 - All-In Membership - Binghamton, NY Michael is an athletic RHP/3B prospect who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, Michael gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing square to his target. Michael shows a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77mph with good movement. Curveball sits from 64-67mph with late 11-5 break. Slider sits from 61-67mph with good movement. Changeup sits from 71-73mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through a square setup. He is smooth to load and works through a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to great gap to gap power (93mph exit velo). In the field, Michael shows fluid footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with a firm glove. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws with carry through his target. Overall, Michael is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
