04/27/2014 - College PREP - Tallahassee, FL Michael is a R/R 2-way player as a SS/C. Defensively at SS, he hustles into a square fielding position. He gathers well and makes accurate throws to 1B. Playing through the ball more will help to improve accuracy on throws. Behind the plate, Michael presents a low target and tracks the ball into his mitt. He works in-line toward 2B with pop times as low as 2.75. With the bat, this RH swinger shows patience as he waits back for his pitch. He connects with the ball and drives it up the middle. More lower 1/2 will result in increased power. A young 2017 grad - Michael has a lot of time to develop his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
