01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Michael is an athletic built 3B/RHP prospect who has talented skill set. As a right-handed hitter, Michael has a square stance with a firm front side and centered balance. He has a good load with a square stride. Michael has an on-plane swing path and keeps his head behind his barrel. He is a line drive type hitter who looks to put the ball in play. In the field, Michael plays with effective pre-pitch actions and firm footwork. He presents his glove and creates effective angles. Michael has a clean exchange and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. He shows accurate, strong throws across the diamond. Overall, Michael is a well-rounded prospect who has skill on both sides of the ball.

11/19/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Marlborough (Boston), MA Michael is an athletic (2024 grad) as a 3B. Defensively at 3B, he takes solid angles and presents his hands as he moves towards the GB. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. With the bat, this RHH has smooth rhythm to load. His lower 1/2 stays firm as he swings on a level path through the zone and drives pitches from gap to gap. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
