08/02/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Michael is a coachable 1B/RHP prospect who showed well during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Michael shows smooth footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a low position and fields with ball out in front with sure hands. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a controlled stride. He is fluid getting into a simple load and hits against a strong front side. He gets good extension through the ball with decent bat speed, leading to great gap to gap pop. On the mound, Michael gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Michael shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 83mph with arm side run and sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 66-68mph with 11-5 break. Overall, Michael is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.
