01/21/2022 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (MS) Michael is a 2026 3B/RHP out of Kyle, TX who continues to shine with his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show at 3B for the first time at the event. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point and has smooth delivery. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 71. Fastball showed a range of 69-71 mph with tail on a downhill plane. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing through an aggressive hip turn. At 3B, he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness.

12/05/2021 - All-In Membership - Houston, TX Michael is a RHP prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame thin build with some strength present. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber, with a clean leg lift, and keeps eyes on target throughout delivery. Has a simple/repeatable delivery with good command of both his FB and CB. Attacks hitters with a FB that sat 68-70mph with some arm side run, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with early break, and a changeup with sinking action that he throws with FB arm speed. 2-seam FB best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Level eyes enable him to track pitches well. He keeps his hands inside the baseball with a whole field approach. A flat barrel path enables him to spray balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 66mph during his round of BP. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Michael having a bright future on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
