01/26/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Delray Beach, FL Michael showed an increase in radar velocity to 61, exit velocity to 69 MPH, and he ran his fastest 60 to date at 8.45 seconds in Delray. At SS, Michael has active feet, he creates a good fielding angle, and his hands are soft. He has good range, a clean exchange, and he throws with accuracy from a loose arm across to his target. On the mound, Michael has a balanced delivery, on-time hand separation, and a clean arm action. He has good glove side lead, a controlled landing toward home, and he competes in the zone. Offensively, Michael has a still head, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He makes level contact and he uses his lower body. Solid skills can get better with work on the following.

11/11/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Davie, FL Michael worked out at SS and on the mound during his last workout with The Factory. He showed a spike in radar velocity to 55 MPH and hitting improved to 30. At SS, Michael works around the ball well, he has a presentable glove, and funnels into his chest. He has a clean exchange and an accurate arm to his target. On the mound, Michael has good balance, he keeps his eyes on target, and he repeats his delivery well. At the plate, Michael has a simple stroke, a still head, and good balance. He swings on plane, makes square contact, and uses his lower body. Overall skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Michael is a hardworking player who is very coachable and has a great attitude. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup and an aggressive approach. Hands are quick and work inside the baseball, utilizing all fields. He stays on plane and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 68 mph. Fastball shows a range of 44-46 mph. Control is a plus as he throws strikes and locates to both sides of the plate. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/12/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Davie, FL Michael is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2024. Defensively at SS, he hustles towards the GB with active footwork and presents his hands. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes on-line throws to his target. On the hill, this RHP keeps his eyes locked in with smooth mechanics. He has a strong frontside as he delivers with clean arm action and works in line towards home plate. As a hitter, Michael shows a balanced setup with fluid rhythm to load. He rips his lower 1/2, swings on a direct path through the zone and sprays pitches to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
