06/24/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Trenton, NJ Michael is a 1B/LHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Michael shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load and takes aggressive hacks, driving the ball to his pull side. On the mound, Michael works with a clean arm and extends through his release. He stays inline toward the plate and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Michael operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph with late arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 57-60mph with sharp 1-7 break. Changeup sits from 61-65mph with sinking actions as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Michael is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Michael is a 1B/LHP prospect who showed well during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Michael shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He fields in a low position and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws and keeps them accurate/on-line to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and works through a level swing, spraying the ball to all fields. On the mound, Michael gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Michael operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 56-57mph with 1-7 break. Overall, Michael is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

08/29/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Augusta, NJ Michael is a 1B/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame athletic with some strength present. At 1B, he starts with active feet and athletic actions. Tries to center baseball, with ability to pick out hops, and fields from a square fielding position. A quick release with accurate throws to second base up to 69mph. Showed good footwork around the bag and good glove actions. On the mound, he has a clean arm action with ability to repeat his delivery. He keeps his eyes on target and he rotates to target. Throws a FB that sits 65-66mph with good command. Mixes in a 2/8 shaped breaking ball with medium break and a changeup that he throws with FB arm speed and some sinking action. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. A short stride, with fluid timing, and ability to get on-plane early. Made consistent contact to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 70mph during his round of BP. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
