12/12/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Michael is a tall RHP prospect who will graduate in 2021. On the mound, Michael shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph. Breaking ball sits from 63-65mph. Changeup sits from 73-74mph with sinking action. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Michael be more controlled throughout his delivery. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load well and hits against a strong front side. He works to barrel up the baseball and uses the entire field well. Michael can produce more consistent contact by taking a shorter swing path. Overall, Michael is a developing prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
